Thumbs up Re: Latin Music Appreciation Society

LL, I knew Juanes was planning the concert but had no idea that Carlos Vives and Juan Luis Guerra were playing as well as others. In the English speaking world this is the equivalent of the Beatles, Rolling Stones and Clapton playing a free event...or just fill in the blank.

What a Show!!!

Music means a lot to us, but so much more to them. Thumbs up to the heavy hitters who made it happen!

That would have been a show to catch. I was recently in Barranquilla, and experienced Vallenato music for the first time. The music reminded me of Zydeco, but the lyrics reminded me of of calypso or soca in the West Indies.Check it out.
