Or in Portuguese:

"Queria sir subir para um coco?"

in French:

"Après vous mon petit chou."

Tinto,
I'm trying to decipher that Portuguese phrase. I think it's supposed to be an invitation to come upstairs for a drink of coconut milk. Well, just make sure you put the emphasis on the right syllable -- if you emphasize the second syllable (cocô), you're inviting her upstairs for a poop.

The resident linguist speaks!

LOL! Actually the phase was taken from the fashion magazine, Fox Brazil Summer 2006 edition, "Pick up lines you should never attempt".

Would you like to come up for a coconut?

I'd be more than happy to elaborate on it Rich...if after you learn some basic Spanish, you don't learn how to at least flirt at a basal (or basic) level, you're gonna have the Hawaiian problem!!! She'll be off playing Beano, while you're home yanking it...

Hawaiian Problem = Lack-a-nooki

Playing Beano = Bea-no-snatch-for-you

It's the same thing in Spanish Rich, all the above examples come from all over the U.S. ... Unless "you're" listening, or get the inference, you'll ending up buying stock in vaseline while in LAm...Learn to have basic conversations, and if you run into a gal that interests you, and you interest her, ask her to teach you what to call that, or how do you say that...

"El Diccionario de Cabelo Largo"..."The Long Haired Dictionary"...by far, the best one I've ever found!!! Blow's Langenscheidt's right out of the room...hands down!

Smile Re: Learning how to flirt in Spanish

Usually , as cubans when you're really interested in a girl you see just to put everybody cool , we call the girl mamita and the body language must be omnipresent
Always showing her that she is your center of interest ...This is good especially when you have a very good spanish
It's all about attitude actually
Just wanted to put my 2 centavos

That literally translates to my love, my live and my heaven, but I assure you they don't sound as corny or serious in Spanish as they do in English.
