Question

Can anyone with decent spanish skill give me the correct translation for a Moreno(a)?

The last time I checked it meant a person with dark hair or a brunette. But one of my buddies says its a person of african ancestory.

Skin color - it describes someone with dark, or tanned skin...not ancestry.

Other colors - Blanca - self explanatory

Triguena - Olive skin tone, but not quite morena

Negra - self explanatory

Hope that helps K!

Salma Hayek would be more of a triguena in my book, an example of morena would be more like Penelope Cruz...or Eva Mendes...or...

TINTO...got any morena pictures?

Jenifer Lopes is definitely of a morena. Penelope, I think is too light, maybe a triguena! Most morenas have good amount of native indian in them, and some have the african ancestory as well. Mi gusta mucho las morenas!!!!! Dark skin, black hair mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..

Kalel,
if you look at LL`s avatar she can be considered as a morena too, because there`s differences ...you have morena y morena clara...And for morena, in my book its a person of african ancestory. Una mulata se puede considerar morena....
LL a mi me gusta muchissimo las mulatas

Thanks CUBA. I am going to take a shot at this and see if I get this right.

The first chica is from the Dom Rep. So I guess she would be a mulatta. right?

The second chick...Well all know this latina don't we? If you don't you should be ashamed of yourself

So this chick would be described as a "Morena" right?

And EC reckons this chick is a triguena.
