Post My Family Arrived...........

Monday December 20 after a one year visa process. For those of you new to the board, here's my story in brief.

I began going to LA in Xmas 1999 going to Costa Rica. In 2001 I married and almost as quickly divorces a Caleņa. I did everything wrong, married to quickly, ignored red flags and paid the price though a painful divorce.

Midway in the divorce, I decided to put my life together and took a pleasure trip to Costa Rica. I found I could work there and decided to move there for a year in June 2003.

I partied and dated and finally met someone in a store in late August. We lived together almost immediately, got married in November and in December I returned to the US needing to earn a first world income and it took us a year to get my wife and her two daughters here.

The great parts of my new life so far is that my house is really clean and I'm not allowed to help. I eat well and I did pick a wife who is honest and who loves me.

Life is not without it's complications. My wife gave away all her things and left her family to be with me so now she is homesick. The US is different and there are some adjustments. She doesn't drive and speaks no English so she does have a few challenges ahead of her.

There are lots of start up costs, getting my family everything they need to feel at home and be able to function. So the jury is still out on happily mever after but at least I'm with the right woman.

Jim,
Glad to hear you got Alba & the family up here ok. I wish you the best with all that is to come. Out of the guys who I have met in this whole scene, I think you are the best equipped to make this thing work.

Stay in touch,
Mike

Way to go Jim! I wonder if it will make it easier for Alba to adjust to life here because she isn't materialistic but came here just because she loves you. That could be a whole separate thread I suppose.
