Post New English website to help new immigrants

Dept. of Education, along with Immigration, have opened a new free website to help new immigrants learn English and assimilate called USALearns.org. The course has beginner and intermediate levels, and some 20 modules to learn numbers, calendar items, places to go, etc.

Default Re: New English website to help new immigrants

There is also a program call "language is a human right" and they give free helpware for learning English. It a primer for Spanish speakers. EL BOOK
One thing I wonder about, what if the people are not online to take advantage of this kind of help.
