ok, I have a tough question. I don't surmise that anyone on here will know the answer, but maybe they would know a link where I can find it, or know of someone who may know.

I am wanting to set up a business bank account in another country down south...and also to get a Visa and Mastercard ability on it....in other words, the ability to take Visa and Mastercard purchases over the phone. I want the account to be in dollars I think, since they will be paying me in dollars...but maybe it doesn't matter that it be in another currency in that they would transfer the dollar to their own currency. I would like to open it up in my own name, i.e., my business name, but it could be in a personal name I guess, if I can still get the merchant account.

I don't want to take Paypal, since most people don't have a PayPal account and you need one to pay an offshore account. There may be other payments systems, but I don't know how they work.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this stuff?

Thanks.

Bill

Bill123,

What country are you interested in? I can help in Mexico and I have resources in Colombia. Let me know.
