I've also been watching the dollar rise. This is GREAT news for us and those with $$$ ties in Colombia. I was in Colombia at one of the highest damn near 3000 to a dolllar back in 1998 and I was there in Nov damn near 1600 to a dollar.

RIP Joe Cuba

I opened a us account with citibank thinking that I could take advantage of the atm's in colombia, but no go. I am still sold on my charles schwab bank account. I just checked on line to see what my rate was for my last transaction Feb 14th. I withdrew 300000 pesos from an atm at chipechape mall in Cali, the cost was 119.07usd or 2519.5 pesos per dollar.
