Default Colombian music!

A ways back El Capitan, (man he is missed) had a good latin music thread going.

This one is 100% colombiano! If you havent travelled there yet, or when you do, your head is spinning from the chicas and you still dont see the richness and how deep the music is inbedded in their culture. Here is a thread for you..

Lately I have been really into the music there, all types and all genres! It kind of lifts me up when I am down and gives me motivation in the day to keep moving forward with my business plans there and always, always reminds me of all the great people and fun times I have had there..

Today,I was listening to a classic cumbia song, it kind of made me think of TBOND and his gal, and the wedding party, it is probably the most colombian song ever.. It reminds me of the passion that lies in the male / female relationships..

This one is for TBOND, but I am sure everyone else will enjoy the video..

Never to late!

I CANT SAY HOW DISSAPOINTED I AM THAT WE HAVE TO LINK TO YOUTUBE, AND CANT HAVE IT DIRECT ON THE BOARD! I EVEN OFFERED TO PAY THE COSTS.

My wife started dancing so she obviously liked the music, but I wasn't allowed to watch the video.

man, i just love the way colombian women dance.
I went dancing in bogota with this girl once and i had to fight to keep from staring. there were beautiful girls dancing all around me. the girl i was with asked me to dance and i was "ok ..uh where is the dancefloor?"
she was like, "there is no dance floor we dance right here."
People were dancing on the bar, the dinner tables, the stairs, anywhere there was room. I had never seen anything like it. it was really cool.

One thing that always makes me feel like I am in colombia is the Vallenatos. Nowadays, guys like this guy a fusing it with cumbia, pop and other things making it really popular again..

Fonseca, if you search utube for songs "con la letra" It wil help with learning spanish quite a bit. Although in spanish, if you translate it and listen to it ,once you get it it will help your listening spanish quite a bit!

HERE IS A LITTLE CROSSOVER INTO ENGLISH.. There is an awesome phenemanon happening with lots of spanish singers and english singer mixing the language of each other.

Here is one from back aways with JUANES (a colombian rock star) Probably one of the top 3 most famous Latin singers, with Nelly furtado. He is right up there with MANA for me..
