EJG69 and Benjio,

If you want safe, I suggest Omaha. Americans probably get kidnapped more often in Colombia that they do in Venezuela or Brazil.

EJG.

Since your fluent in Portuguese and "suck in Spanish" it would be a no brainer for me. I'd go to Brazil. It really seems like a neat place but I never considered a trip there because I'm fluent in Spanish and my Portuguese is non existent. Everyone will tell you that speaking the language is a major advantage. You'll be so far ahead of most foreigners in Brazil and behind them in Colombia.

Benjio,

Great photo. I've always wished I had gone to Valenzuela. Lots fewer gringos should be a major advantage, Gaby Espino is another good reason to go.

See these are some of the reasons why the hearsay just aint cutting it, and it is hard to listen to guys

1. Mexico for kidnapping
2. Brazil
3. Colombia
4. venezuela
5 Philipiness
the bottoom 5 are in the mideast , Nigeria and 10 is Haiti

So with all this abundance of information, it just sickens me to hear all the BS..

In the end you are better off getting your info from WIKI or some state and governement sites..

I had that picture on my desktop for about 6 months a little while back; and I have to admit, I have never, ever, EVER paid any attention to her hands.

EJG, You should be a detective.
