Apparently, this is not uncommon in the north para of Ecuador near the colombia border!

I have a horrible feeling Ecuador will become the new home for the FARC.. This will do them no good. I have to Give Chavez credit he can keep his goons at arms length.

First off sympathy to the victims and thank you Lion for bringing this to our attention...IMHO the frontier areas throughout Latin America (CA & SA) are to be avoided except for crossing during daylight and moving on to the next destination a good distance away from the border...the Colombian frontier with Brazil, Chavezwala, and Ecuador just pretend it does not exist...then you won't be tempted to visit! GRINGOS BEWARE
