Default Bolivia breaking up?

Santa Cruz, Bolivia's largest and wealthiest state, voted for autonomy this weekend. President Morales wants talks. Meanwhile, three more Bolivian states are set to vote on autonomy in June 2008.

This should be really interesting, to say the least! Chavez just had run his blowhole and blame it on the US...

There may be bloodshed if this isn't settled. Chavez's blowhole is always open, he has got to be the center of attention.

Hmm, well I can understand , the rich don't want to be poor like the rest of Bolivia, it is the chavez syndrome , kinda like the CUBA thing. Take the money from the rich so Every one will be poor that makes sense,

natianolize the oil like they are trying to do and noone, not even the government will have money in a few years!

This is a very difficult time for Bolivia…being perhaps the poorest country in LA. Thanks Gary, I missed this one.

I have wondered, out loud, before about Latin America. Our ‘brand’ of capitalism has definitely not worked there. I sure do not know the answer.

British Drive to Break Up Nations of the Americas Advances; Bolivia in the Crosshairs
May 6, 2008 (LPAC)--The British drive to break up the nations of the Americas into squabbling, miniscule "republiquettes," took a big step forward on May 4, when the richest department (province) in the nation of Bolivia held a rump referendum on establishing autonomy from the federal government. Similar referendums on autonomy are scheduled in three more Bolivian departments between now and the end of June.

Bolivia is located in the center of the South American continent, the crossroads through which any transcontinental railroad necessarily must pass. Particularly vulnerable because it has been kept poor, with its people and resources never developed, the British oligarchs have targetted Bolivia for decades for disintegration. Blow up Bolivia, and South America as a whole is blown up.

Thus, the issues presented locally as regards the referendum, have little do to what is at stake, no matter how passionately they are argued.

The final tally will be announced on Friday, but by all reports the referendum was approved by a big margin, although the federal government claims that combined abstention, no, and null votes add up to some 40%.

EIR is investigating reports from source reports from Bolivia, that major international grain cartels and other financier interests are playing a major role in organizing the autonomy drive.

Yaa hopefully they put their own spin on it! I think it doesn't matter if they call it capitalism, I mean I think those socialist brasilians are pretty much capitalists in disguise!

JMITCH, what a bunch of crap that **** is. I see the old LeRouche , is that frenchman still giving you your own thoughts??? , now I see where you are getting your ideas!!!!!!!

It is strange how things happen. Even after all of these happenings, Morales still wins with a pretty good majority in the first round. They are just using divide and conquer. You make a few examples out of a few untouchables and everybody pays attention. Then you re-write the laws so that what you did was legal and pre-date the law to cover your a$$. It happens in Bolivia, Venezuela, Argentina, and it doesn't have to happen in Cuba because Castro is the law of the land. Just because Raul holds the seat, Fidel is still the power. I unfortunately never got the warm and fuzzy from Bolivia. It always felt like walking on egg shells and very instable. So, I'll keep my personal stuff about Bolivia inside my mind.
