God speed Shep! Have a safe and wonderful journey. I look forward to reading your updates here and on your blog. Having members like Shep and other great guys (and girl) that are sharing their experiences with us is the kind of stuff that makes this GT board unique and above what the other Latin boards have to offer.

Thumbs up Re: Shep's 6 Month Trip Begins!

Big Shep -

I am following your Blog, and I thought Mia-Rio was bad at 7 hours.

About Natal, lots of Euros, 'touristy' and expensive, and IMO, not much going on. Last time I was there, saw a cool restaurant on the Beach in Ponte Negre, a Rio replica joint, even had a Corcovado. To bad you didn't start up the coastline in the birthplace of Acai-Belem. Belem and Sao Luis has few tourists and more interesting than Natal. Also, Manuas would be cool to see. In Recife, visit Olinda, downtown (Antigua) and Porto de Galinas, and the Recife shopping mall--eye candy! Recife's best Beach is Chakitaki (more eye candy), about 100 yards north of Recife Palace. If you stop in JP (Joan Pessoa), Maceio, Salvador, Rio and Santa Catarina-I can offer my .

Have fun and be safe.

Ray,

Thanks for your good advice. Sorry I started this thread in the wrong column. Your right about Natal. Its pretty nice, but really not worth the price. Clara and I are currently in Pipa and it is absolutely amazing. I will post about it in the next blog entry. We are thinking about going to Olinda next...

STM,
Thanks for the compliment. I will keep them coming.

Cuba,
I may be married, but I am not dead The women in Natal were OK. Nothing to write home about. I was even talking to Clara about it and she thought they were mediocre at best. The women vacationing in Pipa (a small beach town 80km south of Natal) are great looking though. Tanned, toned bodies galore. I am having trouble not walking into buildings here and Clara is laughing at my pathetic ass constantly. So far though, I think the women in Medellin Colombia look better than the women here in northeast Brazil. But I am working with a limited sample. Plus, the beautiful women I have seen here in Brazil are absolute stunners. I also love how Portuguese sounds...

Shep, I find your report of what the women look like in the different Brazil cities very interesting. Brazil is so diverse. What cities do you plan to visit in Brazil?
