Guero, The new software is complex and I am having trouble leanring how to place Forums under the correct heading. RustyMon is not available and has chosen to work on other client´s projects, so we´re on our own right now.

México is a great place to look for a wife. If I had it to do over again, or if I have to do it over again, I'll probably look there. The only problem is that Mexican women are not desparate to leave their country and they don't find the May/December relationships so attractive. The result is that you won't find the young babe willing to tie the knot with a fossil and you really need to consider moving there to meet someone because there is no quickie introduction method. A real social network is necessary. Also, you are not going to find the eye candy available in Colombia.

But for those west of the Mississippi, especially in the western Méxican/U.S. border states, the culture shock for everyone involved is minimal and the networks of families and connections between people north and south are vast. The only thing, don't catch your backside on the wire when you're sneaking into México, and don't get lost in the desert.

Well LA,

you are always such an awesome source of wisdom. i cant tell you how much i appreciate you and your contribution to this board. i have learned so much from reading your posts. Mil Gracias, Hermano!

amen to making Mexico high on the list for wife hunting. although, actually they are not necessarily opposed to an age difference. maybe not as drastic as in CO but, 10-15 years is normal and acceptable. (thats what my mex wife says) in fact she IS 11 years younger than i.

you are right about the absence of "quickie" type intros. that is just not their style. personal intros are the preferred method of meeting someone, still. when i get there, i hope to build a good sized network of contacts, so i will have some girls to introduce to some of the guys here on the GT Board.

The mexicanas not being desperate is actually a GOOD THING! that way when you start a relationship with a mexicana, you have a much better chance of success, and less of a chance to be a green card provider. a desperate woman is more likely to see a gringo as a meal ticket or a plane ticket outta hell. thus more likely to end badly. (as i have read some reports here on the board). also, only looking for "desperate" women, or "low hanging fruit" signifies a gringo with a self image problem. if thats the case, the gringo needs to back up and regroup. figure out who they are and what they are and what they stand for... long before they go looking for a mate. here is a truth; mexican women (and most latinas in general) want a MAN. they dont understand our culture of counseling, and prozac, and how we became so emasculated by gringas. they want MEN! so if one isnt as tightly wrapped as they should be... then WAIT until you are ready..it just takes time, patience, and most of all Character to win a mexicana. well worth the trouble. that said, they are catching on to the idea that gringo men treat their women better than mexican men and make better husbands and family men. so as time goes on, and if there are less gringos behaving badly there, giving us good guys a bad name, then we will see our popularity rise dramatically.

they are a close knit society and value highly recommendations. so when one by one, they meet and marry gringos they pass along the good word to their families and before you know it... we become a commodity there. mark my words, boys, it will happen...it IS happening! as long as we dont act like "ugly americans" and trash the place and our reputations with it.

as for eye candy... dude, some of the most beautiful women i have ever seen are in mexico. they are just a bit more modest, and dont flaunt their "assets" in public as much as some other LAm cultures. for the "dirty old men" looking for the "hot teeny boppers" well, go to some of the other LAm countries where the more desperate ones are. you will easily find some hotties to feign affection for you. they are more than happy to steal your heart and your money. go get 'em. if you want a real wife and life partner that truly loves you for who and what you are.. one that is less concerned about the size of your checkbook or your johnson... then go to mexico. ...its like the difference between day trading and long term financial planning... or say buying options instead of stock. depending on what your long and short term goals are, that would/should determine where you look for your latina love.

i am not slamming other LAm countries or its women... just saying that one might consider matching their goals and desires to the appropriate culture/country. for instance... your local lake is great for bass fishing... for if you want a sailfish or marlin, ya gotta hit the big water. want salmon?, go to alaska, want catfish? try a local pond. match your goals to the appropriate locale. you will be happier with the results, and blow less money getting what you want.

all that and 10 pesos proves that what i know is as significant as the little white spec on the top of bird ****! Happy New Years Yall!

Thanks for the compliment Guero.

By no means do I mean to suggest that Mexican women are not beautiful. Indeed, the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my entire life, I met at a friend's house in Morelia, Mich. You are right, they are more modest and it tends to cover up some of what they could show off.

I'm off to San Diego 'til Fri. for a brief vacation. Hope you guy do well and have a happy new year.

L.A.

Glad to see something about Mexico on the board

I agree with what Guero said about Mexicans and their networking, with no quick intro services. I've spent a fair amount of time in the Rio Grande Valley with a Mexican family and found what Guero said to be right on target!! I have been struggling with the decision, Mexico or Colombia for my search. One thing that's easier with Mexico is the travel, and you can get the lady back here quicker and easier, with some nerve and very little money, she could join you and the thousands of other illeagel immigrants that are already here in a matter of weeks. Colombia has a greater women per man ratio than Mexico and Colombia has the eye candy, so I hear..Trying to decide...ST

If you"ve ever had a Latina, you'll never be satisfied with a white woman

Staylor , welcome my friend. I would love to hear a little about the Rio Grande Valley! Maybe a report should be in the works.

As far a what you said about bringing your girl back from Mexico. I really hope you are not planning on going the coyote route! If you know what I mean? It is not a safe way to bring a woman to the states. The agony of getting a visa is much healthy for you and her. Coyotes have their own duty tax, above and beyond the fee, especially for the women...

STAYLOR,

Welcome!
my advice, for what its worth...

1: go with mexico...best for long term success
2: do it the legal way...trut me on this! your proposal is not as easy as it seems. and far more dangerous....although for a mexican, getting a passport and visa is very complicated...you as a gringo can help expedite the process and "grease" the wheels that need greasing...making the process smoother and successful. you handle the paperwork!

Suerte, Bro
