Default Avatar clean-up

Gentlemen, a former webmaster chose many of our current avatars without our permission. Members whose avatars are borderline x-rated will be looked at closely and deleted or changed out. Some x-rated avatars can stay, some won´t. It depends on how distasteful the image is and as usual long-time members and/or Hall of Famers will be given a high level of leeway to this rule. Sexy bathing wear or lingerie is permitted, however nudity depicting women in a bad light is not. That said, new avatars will be introduced at a later date and if you wish, you may choose another if you so desire. If you have your own image, you may upload it from your own FTP or another site that parks images.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Thumbs up Re: Avatar clean-up

LL, not a problem and your avatar is fine. This is perfectly acceptable, just use common sense and feel free to search the internet yourself. The new board software allows you to upload any avatar image you desire. When searching for images such as avatars, I like Google.com

1. www.google.com
2. Keyword - beautiful women
3. Click images

Unfortunately FLASH avatars are also not permitted.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Thumbs up Re: Avatar clean-up

Gentlemen,

Today, our old obb avatar selection box is back up and running, that said, feel free to select your own personal avatar or if you wish to use your own, you have this option also. But please, for member individuality and user distinction, no two users are allowed the same avatar.

Animated and/or x-rated avatars are no longer accepted, however long-time posting members who have given back to the board only to help and advise others and/or Hall of Famers have some level of leeway to this rule.

To access avatars....

1. Upper left corner of board page - Click "User CP"
2. Left column under "Settings & Options" - schroll down to "Edit Avatar"

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Gentlemen -

As we are changing the direction of GRINGOTALK, and with that comes a new look and attitude. That said, all avatars that are T&A or what have you will be deleted from the avatar directory. Most any avatar is accepted, thing is, we're trying to move away from avatars that look overly silly with big boobs and big butts.

-Thanks

If GT is to change it's image and move on with the times, I can't agree with Ray more. I've probably had the most risque avatar ever. I'll make the 1st move...BabyTonk is about to be history

God bless the little tyke. I've gotten a lot of mileage out of him Maybe it's time to move on with a lot of other avatars as well.

How 'bout it?

Damn, I can see us going downhill now, no little tonk, no tits and ass!!! I for once have a respectable avatar, but I still want tits and ass occasionally! I feel like I am grandpa get thrown out the door, the older generation, and I have only been around this site a couple of years!

I see this site pretty soon becoming a read only FORUM!!! With heavy censorship coming! I hope not but I ain't holdin my breath!!

Ray, I have searched the web and found some nice avatars but, most are slightly over the limit. Is there an easy way to make them compatible to the board. Also, how do you directly insert a photo into the message box?

How about keeping Tonks avatar and place a black circle/square around the you know what? You can also blur that region with Photo-shop or similar editing software. I don't know if Tonk would mind "censoring" his avator...?

I just can't picture Tonk with a new avatar, but as all things go...change is always a good thing.
