Now first of all congrats again BOB for your acquisition of the site. I have been on and off the website for differents reasons but mainly I guess for a lost of interest as I did not feel that I could contribute more or that I was getting something back from it..on that I am sure I might be wrong. The new directions you put in the site hopefully will be successfull but in my case I am so far from being an expat and that sucks big time but hey life is full of surprise so let's see . It was pleasant to see my flag too on top of the front page and will look forward on how it goes here. Now another question..did you keep the same moderators such as HONKY TONK (if not that it's in my opinion a big loss) or Azjetpilot? Diversity is the strength of any society in my humble opinion
Again good luck to the new administration

Cubitaaaaaaaaaaa
Hi Cubafro,
Thanks for your kind wishes with the new venture. I can confirm the moderators are still around and helping out with the site.
Regards
Bob

Gentlemen -

Since passing the torch to Bob, the new owner, I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance to make a post regarding the sale and new ownership of Gringos.com. That stated, I want to congratulate Bob and all members that Gringos.com is in very good hands. Bob, unlike myself, works full-time online owning and managing mostly Expat Forums, and he does a very good job. I was a member of his Property Forum some time back, and that’s how I know Bob, and Bob was motivated and excited to own Gringos.com and I felt he had all the tools to lift GT to the next level. A few words about me and why I moved on … I did not sell for money, I sold because I simply did not have the energy or motivation anymore. I wanted to be freed up to pursue passions and other interests that I could not do being attached to the website. Finally, I am completely satisfied with what I accomplished as the former tenure owner. I also think Tim ( Gringos.com Founder ) would also be proud of where his beloved son is today.

Ps. Due to other interests, I won’t be posting so to those I met along the way, if you feel inclined to stay in touch, send me a PM.

Peace

Hi Ray,
Thank you for taking the time to come back and post on the site - it is greatly appreciated.

I also wanted to thank you in making the sale and transition of the site as hassle free as it could be. Doing business with you has been a pleasure and I would happily recommend you in all your ventures.
Thank Again,
Bob

Hey Rookie,
Nice to hear from you.
I hope you'll check in once in awhile; if not, we'll miss you.
Thanks for everything, and best of luck in all you do.

I don't like getting e-mails from gringos.com that say that there is a response to the threads I've subscribed to.

I couldn't tell how to unsubscribe so I blocked senders mail as junk. Perhaps this will stop this minor irritation from occurring.

I don't need such a reminder as I just click new posts when I log on to gringos.com
and I have all the new posts right there.

Hi JMitch,
Thanks for the feedback. You can control your default thread subscription from here. If you change it to "Do not subscribe" that will stop it from happening in future.

I will change yours for you now to ensure they stop coming to you.
Regards
Bob

Gentlemen -

I think Bob is doing a great job. I think this Forum can go a long way ... and I wish it all the success in the world.

On a side note: HT and Big E were excellent Moderators. As the former owner, I could not ask for better Mods.

Peace
