Thumbs down GT Numbers Way Down And This IS Sad....

That at this very moment in time, there are 10 members logged in, along with 1 guest....

We have 4 topics (This will make 5 for about 38 more minutes...) that are currently in the 24 hours or less window....

With only a handful of people that have contributed any material to that...

THAT...my friends...is sad

El Cap,

You know what is NOT sad? That this board, in my never humble opine, has a absolute truck load of guys with great info, knowledge and heart. Is it just me or do others think that with the varied subject matter, and the varied opinions that go with it, that this board is very civil. Sure, we have our little pissing contests here and there, but honestly, there is not a man on this board that I dislike. Of course I like some more than others, but even with the guys that I do not agree with much there are NONE here that I think is an asshole. And I am not one of them, although you are, there are some very intelligent guys here. Sad? No, this board is ****ing tits! So the news room has a slow day.

Love - Micky

Captain, If someone asks a question I will respond if I think I know the answer. If someone asks an opinion and I have one (I usually do) then I post. Sometimes there is a new topic rolling around in my head. I won't post it until I have refined it and I have the typing time.

Eman...Slip me-a-Micky...LL - Just trying to shake up a few thoughts out of the shrubs, and see if we can get some of the non-regulars to jump in and join the melee...

"Captain, I'm given 'er all she's got!" If I give her any more she'll blow!!! (Scotty)

Then again...

ElC, it's a shame we don't have more regular posters. Seems always the same ones contributing. Sometimes I'll dredge a good topic from the archives and ressurect it for further discussion. Sometimes I start a topic that I know will ruffle some feathers.

I've jump started it a few times, and I know you and Ray have. I even asked what topics others might want to kick around but I don't think it got much response.

The topics that are the most controversial heat things up. Just look at the Consuelo Responds thread.

Care to pick a fight, I mean ruffle some feathers with our members? There's still lots of myths that need to be laid to rest. I know you can come up with a few. I'm drawing a blank at the moment...but it will surely pass

Doesn't anybody even have a trip report they can tap out on the keyboard for us?

My whole time here is a trip report, but the only guys who can relate are the ones already here! Things are so far removed from the agency days that it isn't even close anymore.

Frankly, I don't post here alot because I don't find a lot of the threads to be very interesting. I already made the mistake of replying to one "political" post on Cuba....and found is very distasteful and counterproductive. I think we just don't have enough new guys who are interested...or enough guys who are still traveling to Colombia. I would be happy to provide any tips I have on Bogota and my experiences (which I have in the past), but not many guys have been on looking for that advice. I'm also happy to post my experiences on my marriage, visas, and other related issues. I've done that too, but interest seemed to wane. Basically, on this board we have a few guys that are seriously looking for a Latina wife, some that currently have one, and some that either had one or at one time thought about having one, but now seem to have now have no interest other than talking about it. To me, new blood who is interesting in learning about the women, the culture, the places....and the process....and who are seriously thinking about becoming involved with latinas is the only thing that will really make this board interesting again. All the other stuff might be interest for some....but that explains why you see the same guys posting over and over again....because they are the ones interested. I don't come here for politics or history or religion or economics....I come here to talk about Latina women.

Just my opinion.....and to answer the question, from my perspective, why more folks don't post regularly.

Mike

PS - From what I hear the Bogota "dating" scene is not what it once was. The agency I used (well documented in other posts) had its biggest weekend in a long time in May, 2006...and from what I have been tod, has had nothing close since. There are plenty of Colombianas still looking, just not that many Gringos willing to make the effort. It's really too bad. And with visa prices going up substantially very soon, some guys are going to be priced out of the market. Consuelo may be on to something. Someone who earns less than $50,000 may not have the money to marry and bring a Colombiana to the U.S.....unless he has substantial assets. It's a time-consuming and costly process.
