Default If you can read this

you have made it to the new server. Thanks for your patience and I hope the downtime, if any was minimal.

Due to the internet updating, some members may not be able to see the site at this time. If you are contacted by them, you should suggest they clear their browser cache, delete their cookies, and reboot their PC (reboot if they haven't recently)..

If they run Windows, they can click Start, Run, and type cmd into the run dialogue box. This will bring them to the command prompt in windows.

Once there, they would type: ipconfig / flushdns and press enter.

Reboot, and they should see the site.

If none of these things work, they will see the site in 24-48 hours anyway, as the internet will have had time to update where Gringos is now located.

Thank you.

I can see it! Man, that was a fast switch to the new server. I was expecting it to be down for a few days but it appears that you got in done in a few hours or less. What sort of changes can we expect besides speed?

Thanks for the update and thank you Ray for the continued improvements.

Speed would be the major improvement that you will notice. It's a linux platform instead of a windows platform, so overall vbulletin should run much better now.

As with any server move, please make me aware of any issues that arrise. There may be none, or a few, but nothing major.

Thanks again.

As for speed, seems to be loading much much faster now. Each click of a page loads pretty much instantaneously.

Thumbs up Re: If you can read this

Mark, a most excellent job of getting GT up and running in record time!

It might just take a few days to settle in, but many avatars are missing from posts, like yours and mine. Yours is a red X and says "Mark Bolyard's avatar", like mine does; to me at least.

Other than that, the Board and archives look great!! It's like seeing one of your kids born and counting all the fingers and toes

Mark,

I found a small bug. I tried placing a link in my signature line and it will not post.

I take that back. It does work! False alarm. Enjoy the models.

Mark, I lost my email notification of PM's. It happened before the server switch but got straightened out. Now it's gone again. My settings are still set to receive the notification. About 10 PM's since the switch, 0 email notifications.

I'm not trying to run up Ray's bill, but can you check this out when you're in the Control Panel anyway?

Thanks!
