Default Questions on Links

What exactly is the policy on posting links? I notice there is an"Advertisers and Services" forum, but what exactly constitutes "advertising?" This question is being raised because I note that two recent posts that mentioned TRN (The Real Nicaragua) web site were edited by Honkytonk who removed the link. You'll notice, however, that I and others were referred to your site from TRN:
http://www.therealnicaragua.com/vb/forums/showthread.php?t=3857
Among others, there are two very active boards on Nicaragua (TRN and Nicaliving) plus a less active but still useful Nicaragua.com. The primary purpose of this board (GT) and the others is to provide useful information to users. If informational links to posts on other boards and forums are censored, the informational value of both web sites is greatly diminished.

Dixie, I am glad you posted what you did, I hope tonk and ray look at this, because I would like this forum to partner up with good forums!! After reading for a bit about your forum I would say it is defintely a great forum for Nicaruagua and that is definetely in LAM!

This site used to focus on COlombia and the Marriage industry business but has really blown that out of the water !!!

There is lot on politics, real estate, travel, visas, and of course latinas, there are a fair amount of men who live in these latin countries who post here as well!

There are deep threads on Brasil, Colombia, a fair bit on Peru, Costa Rica, Mex, and a little on all the rest!!!!

As for Colombia and Brasil this is great forum for those inparticular, but it is growing and evolving daily!

We have been more focused on SA than CA, so I really hope we can partner with some guys like you! As my interests reach farther or in my case (being in california) closer than just South America!

Welcome to the board by the way!

DT -

Welcome aboard.

For right now, links can be posted, however, if you're soliciting business, please post in then Advertisers and Services Forum. Direct in-your-face spam or porn is not tolerated, and deleting TRN link was an oversite by us. The owner of www.therealnicaragua.com endorsed GT on his Board; so there's no problem. Again, welcome Dixie Traveler. Anyone looking to venture to Nicaragua should check out www.TheRealNicaragua.com

Note: DT, flash avatars is a grey area, so until we make a decision, yours can stay.
