As some of you may have figured out, I was the gringo that Tonk met down in San Jose a couple of weekends ago.

I agree with alot of what Tonk says...

My deal is that I am not currently in the market for a foreign bride. I am quite content dating up here in the USA, but do enjoy latin culture...and more importantly I still love latin women. So I have been going down there for about a year and a half now.

I enjoy Costa Rica for several reasons. First of all there are direct flights from DFW, which makes it a very easy trip to do. I also like how easy it is to maneuver down there in terms of safety, ease of access to money, etc. I have done beach trips several times and look forward to doing more. Of late, my job has not allowed me to take full weeks off since I don't have competent backup. So as a result, I have been doing long weekends.

San Jose is like Las Vegas to me...2 nights is just about right, 3 days is too much. But man oh man, for quality and variety, I really enjoy hanging out at the Del Rey and Key Largo.

The Del Rey has talent that runs the gammit...but if you have some game (ie dress presentable, speak spanish, decent looking, etc) you can work some of the top talent and come out with a pretty good overall experience. Plus there is alot of gamesmanship that goes on in there...I like that. Gotta love the action!

I'll vouch for JunFan and the ladies. They flocked to him like flies on **** I enjoyed watching him work the action and vice versa. I worked the overflow. Other gringos the ladies treated like something they stepped in. I fell somewhere in between, like maybe a pigeon left something behind on my crown....

Well I'm glad you guys had a good time, but please tell me you had seperate rooms.

I want to recommend a plush five star resort near to San Jose. It's called The Hotel Rio Perlas Spa & Resort.

www.hotelrioperlas.com

This termale resort is less than one hour south of San Jose in the beautiful Orosi Valley in Cartago. This termale and spa is considered by many to be the best in Costa rica and a great place to take your Tica or Colombian sweetheart.

My wife informs me that since around 2000, Colombians are required to get a visa to visit CR.

Used to be is wasn't required. I guess it's possible, CR has recently rescinded the requirement??

The girls at the Del Rey are selling you a fantasy. I have been there too many times to no understand that ugly men who dress like slobsa nd speak no Spanish, also have women all over them like flies if they spend money.

You can spend more money at a topless bar in the US with touching anything for what it costs you for sex in CR. Enjoy it as I have.

But don't think that the girl cares much what you look like, how you dress or even if you talk Spanish. She is selling you a fantasy which is how she can charge you ten times what Ticos pay for sex. Spanish is nice because it gives you something to do besides just the horizontal Tango but $40 extra dollars looks better to these ladies than how the man looks.
