Aside from the agencies, does anyone have a list of dating sites in Costa Rica? I seem to recall a listing of several but can't seem to find any.

Latin American Cupid would be my suggestion beyond Amigos.com, and Cybercupido. Be very careful about sites like MyTica.com, and a few others...if it looks cheesy, it probably is.

If you didn't have much success with intro's at Spanish Eyes and Purita, I'm just curious what makes you feel that your chances are going to increase by going to the Internet? One thing that I can say about Purita and SE, is that she does a pretty damn good job vetting the riff-raff out...going to an online dating site in Costa Rica is going to leave you pretty wide open. Is it just the fact that you're in San Pedro and transportation is a pain in the ass? And Purita didn't have too many ladies that lived out that way?

Just curious, fill us in on the blanks in the story.

No problems. It was just that I'm here in Costa Rica anyways and was hoping to meet some other women while I'm here. If at the very least, it helps to fill in the downtime.

Yeah I tried Loveme.com, they are horrible. I tried many differnt women with no responce and when you email them they dont write back. Forget calling them its a waste of time too! Their customer service bites.

RC, did you include a picture of yourself with the emails? can you read/write in Spanish? I cant see how you didnt get a least one response from someone. Thats strange.

Hey, yeah i was actully able to talk to 1 girl in the begining of when I signed with love me. That was before some weird law that the lady at love me talked about. She said how it was against the law now for them to provide the ladies address. So all I could purchase was email address's. U write them what u want then loveme is supposed to send an actual mailed letter to them in Costa Rica. Me and my buddy wrote about 3 girls and never got anything back. I wrote to loveme.com to see what was going on and never got a responce. I am considering Spanish eyes and pray that will be a better experience. We are supposed to fly out in February, its cool because my family actully lives there on my moms side. My mom is from Costa Rica and dad is from Louisiana. I live in New mexico currently. I want what we all want here I think an attractive/non gold digger good woman. Let me know your thoughts. Ps I know I have told my mom about me doing this and she approves, I dont wish to go through a realative to get hooked up, but it will help with not having to stay at a motel when we go. My mom said my couisins wife is from Nigaragua but im very concerned because most of them have gotten divorces from there. Hell that could happen anywhere but im willing to take my chances with a girl in Costa Rica. Thankyou for having this board mytica was looking good till I read the horror storys about it. Im tired of wasting money with no responce.

RC, based on your situation, I would just go "in country" then go from there. Your relatives in CR will definitely try to hook you up with someone. OTOH, go to SE and set up some appointments. Being a gringo with a Costa Rican mother will work to your advantage. You can trust me on that one.
