Hi JW,

Appreciate your support! What is the expatriot life where you are? What do you recommend experiencing during a 4 day trip? Do you know how many universities there are in your country? Also are there many private high schools for the more affluent?

Saludos,

Drask48

Dear Singlefather,

Thanks for your kind comments and I do appreciate your invitation. It would be a pleasure to meet you in person as I have read your unique and challenging story. I hope all is going well in Chiclayo and I had the wonderful opportunity of visiting it 4 years ago with my wife and her parents. We took a trip north that included Trujillo, Huanchaco, Piura and the ugliest beach I have ever seen, Santa Rosa. I am always joking about it with my mother-in-law(it is always good to have something to laugh about with your mother-in law!!). While I was in Chiclayo I met some of the beautiful women and one night I was interviewed on a local television station. I was walking on the main street with my wife( no recuerdo como se llama la calle), right after a team from Cuzco had defeated a team from Argentina in Fort Lauderdale. We were watching the game on TV and the people just streamed out on the street and partied!!!A reporter approached me, probably because I was the only gringo and asked what I thought and why I was there. We had an interesting conversation and my wife was a little celuoso, because the reported was quite attractive. However I did enjoy my three days in Chiclayo and visited one of the universities and ate some great food. I hope to get back there soon and I will be in Lima from April 24th until May2nd. If you able to come south would enjoy buying you a pisco sour, una cerveza o mate de coca!!

How are you spending most of your time in Chiclayo. I was moved by your story regarding the children as I frequently do full custody evaluations for the family courts in my state. I admire you and your children's resilience and continued best wishes for your life in Peru.

Saludos,

Drask48

There are not enough Expats here to feed a sick Cat where I am located in Puerto Cabezas Nicaragua.....

A crap load of missionaries, and do gooders that come and go, because next to Haiti it is very poor and they want to help....

In Managua there are all kinds of Universities that the female Students will hit on people as prepagados for grocery money to stay in school..

It is pitiful, but that is how it is.....

We are talking the 2nd poorest country in the western hemisphere....

I hate it predators come and go, but it is fact, some go for the underage stuff, and wind up rotting in a Nicaraguan Dungeon....

And nothing can be done to help them......

Mayor de edad.... No problem.....

Prostitution is not illegal here.....

drask,

If you are in Lima at the end of April and can get north for a few days. Let me know. Thank you about your comments about my children and I resilience. They are doing much better here and my son has come a long way since he had agoraphobia and would not leave the house early last year for the fear of being kidnapped.

I have not found any professional counsellors or doctors here yet that I trust to help our children due the to language and cultural differences. Plus not knowing how good they are !

What my children went through makes my blood boil and as an Adult I had a hard enough time coping with everything that happened. I think how the heck did my children survive all the bull**** and everything. It is criminal what happened and sick.

My children have aboriginal heritage through there late mother and I want them to be proud of that and proud of themselves. Right now they donīt want anything to do with that culture or heritage.

What botherīs me also is how much of a memory loss they have when they were younger and their mom was alive. I cried one night after they told me they canīt remember their late momīs voice or how she looks like. Their new Mom Roxi has been a God send to them and to me. She is so warm and affectionate with us and full of love.

The kids laugh hard when she tells them all the time that " i HAVE TO KISS YOUR DADDY 500 TIMES TODAY BECAUSE I LOVE HIM SO MUCH" . She is a great role model and mother to our children.

All the best everyone,

singlefather no more

.

Hi Singlefather,

I will send that PM to you in the next day or two. It would be nice to go back to Chiclayo in April and maybe I can work that into a trip to Mancora. I do have some posible suggestions for you regarding assistance for your children. A colleague of mine in Lima, is the Peruvian representative to the American Psychological Association. He is a first class person and he might be in a position to make an informed recommendation to you. However we can chat about this in a more private format and I look forward to speaking with you soon!

Regards,

Jeff you have a wealth of experiance in your mind, you must dictate it to paper or digital remembrances.....

If nothing else your grandchildren or all of your begats will want to know the truth of your life.....

Need I say more?

That, at 57 years old is what I am doing right now.....
