Default Bored in Vitoria

I am Canadian, married to a Brazilian and living in Vitoria, ES. It's been really difficult to make friends here. I'm looking for someone in a similar position, to hang out with. I am in my 30s, a teacher though currently I am just a housewife! It would be nice to have someone to talk to. If interested, let me know!

Vitoria is the place, where you can enjoy number of sightseeing. You can visit La Florida Park there. This park is close from the old town is the lung of the city. There is also a famous church with the name of Old Cathedral. You can also visit Plaza Nueva, There are plenty of bars and cafes here, but they're a bit pricey!

Default Victoria- land of the Caipaxabas!

I used to live and work in Vitoria- I'm American, and back in historical times- 1988. The weather was a bit cool for me and the Caipaxabas, were a little difficult to get to know, as i was told, but once you made a few friends you were accepted as one of them. as i remember it is the "mineios" that they don't like too much.
To meet other expate ladies, (or men) you might go the the language schools- the big one's like cultural ICBEUA Victoria- there will probably be some foreigners, like your self working there. CST also had a crew of expate english instructors teaching at the steel company in Tubarao.
and foreigners, like yourself might work at the other commercial language schools in Vitoria.
good luck,

House Wife? That is great! Go nearby to one of the small cities like Guarapari and
talk, talk, talk. You will soon have no shortage on friends. Try a couple of local hair
salons new to you and have some fun gossip, then ask for help getting to know people.
Grill some food and serve some beer on the weekend. People will come if you love
yourself.

Hi Dineen,

How are you?
Don't know if you are still in Vitoria. We are Belgian expats living in Vitoria at the moment. It is a bit difficult to meet people, because of our pour Portuguese skills. If you would like, we can meet up sometime?
We are living in Praia Do Canto and I work mondays till thursdays.

If you want, you can mail me on saradavid20@hotmail.com

Greetings, Sara and Karel
