Question

Americans are required a visa stamp to visit Brazil but do Brazilians need a visa to visit Colombia or just a passport? A valid question for Gringos living in Colombia who might happen to have a Brazilian friend and want to invite her to Colombia for an extended stay.

Any information is appreciated.

I looked around on their consular webpages and couldn't find anything. Maybe just cross that bridge when you come to it, let her make a couple of phone calls?

Bringing sand to the beach, bringing coal to Newcastle, are a couple of expressions that come to mind here, BTW.

Most countries are going for the reciprocity (tit for tat) like the US. Mexico kicked in this year and I did read that colombians need one to enter Brasil sooooo.....brasileiros may in fact need one to enter CO:

You dont need a visa for your friend to enter Colombia.

How ironic that most countries the world over require that all Colombians obtain a Visa for entry, but to foreigners going to Colombia, a visa isnt necessary.

Think about that.

Si. To enter San andres, you have to go via anyone of the major airports in Colombia [BOG, CLO, MDE, etc].

There are no Intl flights to San Andres island. Although some people might not know that.
