Default Goldman Story/Case

There have not been any new posts in the Brazil section for a while...

Anyone familiar with the Sean Goldman story?? It has been going on for a while, but now that the US government is involved, I think we will start to hear more about it.

The Bring Sean Home website has been down today... not sure what is going on there!

It is much more than a tough deal. I really hope the international courts step in and enforce the Hague Convention.

And yes, this just goes to show you what CAN happen. Mind you that many countries will enforce the Hague without much fighting. The surprising countries on the "unable to enforce" list were Greece, Germany, Chile, Ecuador, and Costa Rica. I was NOT shocked to see Brazil, Colombia, and Russia on the list.

That is just wrong and seems obvious to me. Any way, I am sure Madonna will hear about this and adopt the boy.

This seems like a similar case of the Cuban boy being raised by relatives in Florida. The mother had died and the father was in Cuba. Although the U.S. authorities did not agree to Castro's Cuba they realized the right thing to do was send to boy to his father in Cuba.

Regarding Madonna, I think she sould be allowed to adopt as many children as she wants. Keep in mind octomom has 14.

On a personal note since I and my children have been through something very similar. I have been in phone contact with the Goldman family.

I spoke with David Goldman father Barry after lunch. I was on the phone with him for awhile and the Brazil supreme court is to meet in a emergency session within hours today over this issue.

Please pray for the little boy Sean and his father David and all their family. Let us hope and pray that the Brazilian supreme court does the right thing.
