Thumbs up Top 5 Beaches
I have been living in Brazil for ome time now. And i have been to many towns along the coastline. I will say one thing. Brazil is not a safe country but it has EXTRAORDINARY beaches. (and women :P)

But if you are looking for the top 5 beaches in the Rio de Janeiro are I suggest the following.

1. Ipanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro (RJ)
2. Lopez Mendes in Angra dos Reis [On ilha Grande(RJ)]
3. Praia Grande de Araçatiba in Angra dos Reis [Ilha Grande(RJ)]
4. Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro (RJ)
5. Martins de Sa in Angra dos Reis [past Parati(RJ)]



Martins de Sa is in a very remote place facing the ocean and ONLY acessible by boat through Praia do Pouso, then a 3 hour walk over a section of the mountain. But trust me it is definitly worth it
