Default Travel Hosts

Europe can have their Rick Steves and Rudy Maxa as travel guides but give me the beautiful Charlotte any day. While their shows are worthwhile if considering Europe they haven’t taken an interest in any South American destinations. To be fair to Rudy, he is finally featuring a trip to Argentina later this year.

Fortunately there are a few hosts that do go exploring South and Charlotte Uhlenbroek is one of them.

BBC did this wonderful three part documentary in 2003 called Jungle hosted by Charlotte that I had the opportunity to watch recently on PBS. Not only is she an attractive and articulate host but she doesn’t wimp out on her travels. Most men would have a hard time keeping up with her. Heck, she even has a nice foreign accent!

For those Brazil aficionados or those that want to learn more about that country I would highly recommend her series.

If you missed the airing of that show fortunately it is available to watch on the internet. You can view a 5 minute preview at the following link

Waterworld

but thanks to Veoh Video Network you can watch the entire show. There is only one hitch though; you’ll have to download their software program in order to view it. If you do, you’ll not be disappointed at this wonderful and informative series.

Go BBC!

BTW, Canopyworld is first in the series and Underworld is the second.
