"The switch from gunshots to injections is a sign that China "promotes human rights now," says Kang Zhongwen,"

Am I the only one that found that funny?

I don't agree with lethal injection. I think the gas chamber should be used, or good old electric chair.

The murderers didn't care about how much pain they inflicted on their victims. Why should we care about how much pain they go through to die??

Exactly!!

I sometimes think that brutal murderers and rapists should be stripped of their "human rights", exactly because of what you pointed out. They didn't give a **** about their victims and their human rights, so why should we make sure they have an "honorable and humane death"? Yea yea, they are humans, but it's kinda like karma. What goes around comes around... If you brutally murder someone and you are sentenced to death, it's almost fair that you die a painful death as well. It would be great to see torturers go through the same type of torture that they inflict on their victims as well...

The only problem with that is then people can say 'why do the cops get to brutally murder people and get away with it' etc. etc. but *someone* has to be the enforcer of punishment, right? So obviously, they shouldn't be punished for punishing people that have been sentenced... but that means they can't just randomly torture people, like some of the stories I've heard...

Dont kill any of my family or friends and there is no problem!

Seriously though, the world is becoming to humane about certain things.

Just like people whining about the torture of terrorists. Im sorry, but if the military, CIA, MI6, and Mosad are getting reliable intelligence by means other than talking, I am fine with it. Some people will suffer for many to live, and I have no problem with that. Torture is a relative term anyway. Al-Quada doesnt believe cutting a mans head off is torture if its for Alla. OK fine... then dont whine when the US pulls teeth, fingernails, burns, cuts, etc etc etc to get information. They didnt care about the pain they inflicted with airplanes in New York.. so again... why should we?

Plenty of police officers are in prison here for murder. We just had one in Ohio that killed his girlfriend and their unborn child... he didnt get away with ****!
