Default Honduras Defends Its Democracy

Imagine, if you will, a world where the US (Hillary, the, Clinton) and Venezuelas (Hugo, the, Chavez) agreeing on the outcome of the military coup in Honduras. Rod Serling would turn over in his grave.

Politics DOES make strange bedfellows.

The Cornhole was given a chance to just fade away......

If he returns, he faces 5 felony counts by the Supreme court for trying to unsurp the Honduran constitution and tampering with votes with ballots printed by Uncle Hugo.......

Nice guy huh?.....

I'd blame the policy of defending this would be dictator's more on Obama than Hillary. The State Department has been non-commital in commenting, while Obama has been fully supportive of the deposed leader. It makes some wonder if Obama has similar plans for this country.

Here's the article, Kudos to the Honduran Patriotic institutions for standing up to this thug. http://www.larouchepac.com/node/10876

Of course it is Obama's policy. He's the president and Clinton works for him. Duuh!!!

I don't know what people want to US policy to be when there is a coup-d'etat. Honduras has democratic (well semi democratic) tradition and the elected president is awoken in the middle of the night and put on a plane to Costa Rica.

JMitch you are far too intelligent to be a dittohead for Larouche. There are actually conservatives in our country who are smart and look at both sides of most issues.

The truth about most LATIN AMERICAN politics is rarely known, because noone really knows how corrupt the really are... The guy could have fudged some votres or maybe not... Most all latin american govenrments are so currupt its unfathomable... We can't tell left from right nor right from wrong

I say its time to leave them to themselves.. Let them figure it out themselves, we can do the saving their asses when they have a huge majority meaning 75% plus of the people of that countries support asking for it explicably..

Why we even continue to comment (meaning our government) on what any other government does is beyond me. Let the EU do their turn at protecting the world.....

Just dont **** with us...

LastLion,

I agree completely that is many cases, though out the world our best policy is no reaction at all. Let other countries sort out their own problems.

This may have something to do with Chavez's special relationship with Zelaya, the deposed Honduran ex-President. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090701/...ug_allegations
