Default The man accredited for changing Medellin

Apparently the old mayor of Medellin is also running for president. I havent quite figured out if Uribe is going for 3 or not. He has just been givin the go ahead to run for a 3rd term. I am against that, personally because it is just too much time in power. It is too much like a dictatorship and also I think it does not put the responsibility on the people. If they keep expecting Uribe to be taking care of them... They might not take the necessary steps to move themselves forward. This guy is my choice for next president..

This is a good insight into Sergio Farjado the mayor until 07. He has some very interesting Ideas that I think are part of the next step in making colombia one of the greatest countries out there..

I only read this because I assumed you were referring to Micky.

I listened to the interview. I like that he takes an interest in the poor people in Medellin. Whoever helped get their tram built probably deserves a lot of credit.

He did say he believed in free trade which I don't like.

As to your gratuitous insult. I suggest you grow up.

LL -

Bottom line, the guy was different and did very good things. As a side on man. He rode his bike to work and wore blue jeans a lot. Really a great linear thinker AND a great outside the box thinker. When he was finished as mayor here there was talk at that time of his running for President. President Uribe said a few months back that he would not run again, but those things do change. If Uribe does not run, I think that the front runner is Santos, out of the Uribe camp (that is the word on the street). I only hope that it is the best man who will keep the country moving forward.

Love - Micky

P.S. - At first I thought that LL was also referring to me.

I think Santos might be a little over the top.. I am not sure but he seams to have kind of a CIA type of attitude, not that it is bad necesaarily, but with all the accusations of corruption and secret bull****, I am not sure he would be good..

I like this guy Serjio Valente or whatever.. hahaha!!

I found it interesting in that interview, he said they gave 40 % of the city budget to education.. I wonder how much california gives.. 1% .. hahahhaaha

LG we posted at the same time. I think you are right i just hope medellin will survive the CUMBRE!!!!

hahahhaahahahha
