Default Monterrey Mexico

Well I thought I would add some more flavor and discussion to the Mexico Forum. As I have been to Morelia a very Colonial City and throughout baja california and it tourist as well as remote areas.

Monterrey is from my view and what i have read and seen the most modern city and it actually recognized as the Safest Big City in all of Lam. As well as having the largest Gross Domestic Product. I got some of this info from WIKI encyclodepia. In my eyes it is the Silicon Valley of Latin America! They are way into technology and have a great university there.

Now for me to travel to a foreign country that is not located on a remote beach with kick ass waves, and maybe only one or 2 other men out sufing daily, than there has to be another reason for me to travel there. In this case it was a woman, as it has been over the past 3+ years of looking for a special latina for my life. This trip report may be a little dated as I was in Monterrey 3 years ago. But I find it a very interesting place to this day!

I met this gal we will call her C, on amigos.com way back when and for all those that know that site, it is loaded with players and golddiggers, but this girl was different. She was quite attractive maybe of the triguena type skin color and beautiful long hair down to her butt! About 5'7, so by no means the pear shaped mexicana many of you may envision. But with a great body to boot. We wrote and spoke on the phone for 3 months prior to me making a trip out to see her. She spoke good english and at that time my spanish was limited to colors & numbers. She was definitely catholic and was also very involved in her church.

With all that I knew I probably was not going to go and just get some, if you know what I mean. And as mcuh as like to just get some, I was and still on a journey to find my media naranja! So I don't expect to just get any on a 5 day trip.

The trip as most due from the west coast, to south america also involved flying thru Houston airport! Not my favorite route, but the only real way to get to some of my favorite locals. Well I arrived in Monterrey in the night time about 7 p.m. and C was waiting for me. Very pretty sweet and had a great walk. And a swail to make most of us look and maybe even trip over the curb on the way out of the airport as I did so blatenly. She gave me a kiss on the cheek and we went to eat. I stayed at the Best Western technoligical and it happened to be the best Best Western I had ever stayed at. Nice hotel.

We ate at a traditional mexican restaraunt and she was very nice and definitely attractive in person. she took me to my hotel and got me situated and than went on home. As most good girls do.

I will continue this post later! But just another side note; as I said this was a good girl, meaning really good and not a player type. She had told me she was 32, lived with her parents and all about her church going on's.

Yes, I went to Monterrey once...to visit a girl I met on-line. I was impressed with Monterrey....at least in that it was NOT what I would normally think of Mexico. Roads were good. Lots of manufacturing (primarily U.S. companies with manufacturing facilities there). The girl I was visiting worked for United Technologies and had been to the U.S. before. Monterrey has lots of modern stores. It's infrastructure seemed very solid. I stayed at the Crowne Plaza, which was very nice and modern. There are some nice places to visit there, including the caves outside of town. Had two nice dinners at some very modern, nice restaraunts (neither of which were Mexican restaraunts).

It is one of the famous and best city for travelling. It is known for its hot weather in summer. It is the place to be for fine handmade leather goods, the best in local arts and crafts and much more. It is a mix of cool bars and hip nightclubs. Generally, the dress is upscale with a casual flair.
