The nation of Mexico is in danger of being destroyed. Now a paramilitary group is being organized to fight the drug cartels; similar to what happened in Colombia. Here's the article from www.larouchepac.com

Paramilitary Group Emerges in Mexican Border City, Setting the Stage for Further Destabilization

January 17, 2009 (LPAC)--As might have been predicted, a paramilitary group claiming to be dedicated to killing criminals--drug traffickers--announced its public emergence on Jan. 15, through a series of e-mails sent out in Ciudad Juarez, in the Mexican border state of Chihuahua, right across from El Paso, Texas.

Ciudad Juarez is one of the cities most terrorized by the drug cartels, which regularly leave the decapitated corpses of their victims in the public plazas. A press release circulated by the so-called "Citizen Commandos for Juarez" (CCJ) claims to represent "citizens tired of the impunity that for years has existed in this city," and vows it will now "attempt to do away with the criminals who have provoked terror against the residents of this border [region]."

This paramilitary activity follows the model of what occurred in Colombia some years ago, and is guaranteed to unleash further violence and destabilization. With the slogan "fatherland and justice, one nation for all," the group vows to kill a criminal every 24 hours, warning that "better to kill a bad person, than allow that bad person to continue to contaminate our region." The group requests financial contributions from businessmen affected by the violence, and provides an e-mail address should anyone wish to identify criminals who should be killed.

Nor is the CCJ the only group of this type. In March of 2008, the Citizen Front Against Corruption and Violence went public in Chihuahua, and shortly afterward, dead bodies of drug peddlers started to appear. This group targeted the state's attorney general, as well as municipal political leaders and authorities, charging that they were on the take from drug lords responsible for the violence and destabilization in Chihuahua.

In early January, according to journalist Raymundo Riva Palacio, a communique began circulating electronically from a so-called "Armed Movement of the North," based in Sonora, which declared war on the Mexican government and political system. So far this group exists only on paper, but promises to sabotage Mexico's political system.

Bravo and congrats to decent Mexican citizens for standing up to the corruption. It worked in Colombia and we need a similar movement in the states.

Thumbs up Re: A Startling Assessment...

The military is the most effective institution in Mexico in fighting the drug cartel thus far.
Here's an article on a successful strike against a cartel leader.

Successful Strike at Mexican Cartel
Dec. 17 (EIRNS)—The Mexican military now have in their possession the central financial files of the Beltran Leyva drug cartel, one of Mexico's biggest. The files were captured in a Navy commando assault yesterday on a luxury apartment building in the center of Cuernavaca—just an hour from Mexico City. That cartel's kingpin, Arturo Beltran Leyva, was killed in the firefight. The success emphasizes what could be done against the drug trade, were the current British stranglehold on Mexico broken

Eastwood I agree with you.....

And also I will add this too it because I do know a bit about the drug trade being a man of the sea and had my offers which I turned down....

Let the authorities just quietly take it away and turn them loose......

They will kill each other thinking someone is getting fukced......

I could give a $hit.........

And Micky can go back to sniffing glue.....

Bravo for the peace loving, decent people of Ciudad Juarez. The real solution down there is to allow honest people to have guns. The US is acting as if our guns going down there is the cause of the whole problem. It isn't. The demand for drugs is the root cause. Arming the citizens is the solution.
