World Travel Awards for Latin America to be held in Peru

World Travel Awards for Latin America to be held in Peru

Tourism chiefs in Peru are delighted that the World Travel Awards will be held in Lima this year, the first time the prestigious event has been hosted in South America The glittering Central and South America ceremony will be held at the site of the ancient Huaca Pucllana temple in the Miraflores district of Lima on 20 July.

The World Travel Awards were launched in 1993 to recognise, acknowledge and reward excellence in the global travel, tourism and hospitality industries and is also regarded as the premier annual networking event for global tourism and hospitality operators. José Luis Silva Martinot, Peru’s minister of foreign trade and tourism, said that the event will open up tourism in the country to a much wider audience and show the world what it has to offer.
