Peru economy posts impressive growth

Despite the fact that Bloomberg had been forecasting growth of “just” 4% for the 12 months ended September 2013, the actual figures were significantly better than expected. Growth year-on-year in Peru increased to 4.37% at the end of September which makes a very impressive 49 consecutive months of economic growth. Despite the fact that the European economy is in the doldrums, the US is struggling to pull away from economic troubles it seems that nothing can go wrong in Latin America and Peru particular.

On the surface you may well expect the situation to slow down in the short to medium term but there is an ongoing rebalancing of the economy and there are high hopes for the short, medium and longer term.
