While Latin America is grabbing the headlines of late with regards to economic performance sometimes it is easy to forget the amazing natural phenomenon in the region. We will now take a look at the famous Amazon rainforest and try to unearth the truth about rumours, untruths and various spin about its decimation. There is no doubt that the Amazon rainforest is enormous but you will be astounded by some of the actual facts related to it!

How many species live in the rainforest?

Despite the fact that the rainforests have been the centre of much industrial activity across Latin America we have yet to unearth every square metre of this amazing natural phenomenon.
