Mortgage market in Mexico is recovering, research report suggests

Mexican mortgage market is growing

The mortgage market in Mexico is returning to normal after a slow start to the year with a 6.7% real increase in the amount loaned in the first half of 2011, according to figures released in a research report by the BBVA bank.

However, in terms of the number of loans, the figures are at practically the same level as in the same period in 2010 with 271,000 individual loans granted. [click to continue…]
