The GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board: We are an information sharing bulletin board for the sole reason to create camaraderie among people traveling to and from Latin America and Brazil-and the sharing of positive information to help each other, and where people express their opinions. This bulletin board is about men and women living, working, traveling, investing, retiring, starting a business, real estate, relationships and making new friends in Latin America and Brazil. We cannot and do not review messages before they are posted, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. This terms of service agreement is necessary and mandatory so you will fully understand the rules associated with the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board.

You agree and understand without exception - the bulletin board administrators has the right to cancel, ban or terminate your account at any time without notice.

By continuing with the registration process (or using the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board if you are reviewing these rules after registration), you state that you have read, understand, and accept the following terms and conditions completely, without exception:

Privacy
Gringos.com™ respects the privacy and confidentiality of all members and agrees not to in any way shape or form, sell, distribute, trade or give away any personal information of any GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board member. All member information such as full name, address, telephone number, emails and the like will remain completely anonymous. We do not send out mass emails to registered GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board members, nor do we collect email addresses for third parties. We will never spam you.

Gringos.com™ is not liable in any form or fashion for the use or misuse of the content posted on the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board. Furthermore, we are a private bulletin board and we will not tolerate trolling, spoofing, spamming or flaming from any of it's members.

Posting(s) On The GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board
It is important for you to remain aware that when you provide personal information (last name, address, phone number) in a posting on any message board, that information is available to any other person or user having access and use of that message board, and may be used by someone in a manner unintended by you. For that reason, we discourage you from offering any personal identifying information within a posting to any message board.

Considering the real-time nature of the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board, it is impossible for us to review messages or confirm the validity of information posted. Please remember that Gringos.com™ does not actively monitor the contents of and are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of Gringos.com™ or any entity associated with Gringos.com™. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove any message(s) and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if and only if we determine that removal is necessary. We also have the ability to edit the contents of any message, within a reasonable time frame, if and only if we determine that editing is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use Gringos.com™ to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of any internationally recognized law.
Although Gringos.com™ does not and cannot review the messages posted and is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, Gringos.com™ reserves the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the bulletin board administrator, owner and/or hosts at Gringos.com™, Jelsoft, Inc. (the makers of the bulletin board software), and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).

Gringos.com™ also reserves the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you. Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate on the GRINGOTALK™ bulletin board.

You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by Gringos.com™. You agree not to post any copyrighted material that intentionally violates the intellectual property rights and/or copyrights of another individual or organization. This includes, but is not limited to, discussions, links, referrals, recommendations, piracy and the like.

All parties using the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board agree by using the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board that in the event there is any dispute with the bulletin board administrator, owner and/or hosts at Gringos.com™ relating to censoring or failing to censor any post, or to libel, slander, harassment, or any other topic or matter whatsoever, the only permissible venue shall be the county of residence of the board owner at the time suit is filed, and the law applied shall be the law of the residence of the board owner (Gringos.com™) at the time suit is filed. At the time this paragraph was written, suit would be permissible only in the Court of Common Pleas of Volusia County, or the Central Eastern District Court of Florida and Florida law would govern said litigation. If you are not a member, and you do not agree to this choice of venue, do not post, read or otherwise use the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board for any reason at any time.

Defamation of Libel and/or Slander. (Libel and/or Slander is defined as written or spoken words that falsely and negatively reflect on a living person's reputation). If you post any message about another living person that is a complete falsehood (lie), your account will be terminated effective immediately, a formal complaint in writing sent via United States certified mail to your ISP concerning abuse of their services, charges filed against you at your local Police Department and/or State Law Enforcement Agency, and/or possible legal action may occur against you.

Spoofing. (Spoofing is defined as anyone who maliciously impersonates another living person online). If you are spoofing on the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board, your account will be terminated effective immediately, a formal complaint in writing sent via United States certified mail to your ISP concerning abuse of their services, charges filed against you at your local Police Department and/or State Law Enforcement Agency, a formal complaint in writing sent via United States certified mail to the United States Secret Service and/or possible legal action may occur against you.

Trolling is strictly prohibited. (Trolling is defined as anyone who attempts to start a prolonged flame war, a fierce argument with rude, personal insults). Known trolls from other bulletin boards will be banned effective immediately following any questionable incident. If you are a troll on the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board, you will be banned, your ISP contacted with a formal complaint in writing sent via United States certified mail concerning abuse of their services, charges filed against you at your local Police Department and/or State Law Enforcement Agency, and/or legal action be filed against you.

Post-Whoring. (Post-Whoring is defined as anyone who creates too many posts of little or no content which fail to contribute to the topic at hand, or who creates multiple threads in rapid succession may not engage in such behavior to intentionally drive up their post count). If you engage in post whoredom, your account will be terminated effective immediately.

Gringos.com™ does allow commercial posts in all of the forums and you most certainly can advertise any/all your services, promotions, website updates and online discounts, bonuses, hyperlinking, urls, etc, and listing your website url in your signature box is encouraged.

You cannot register with web based email. (Yahoo, Hotmail, Rocketmail, Bigfoot, Excite, Everyone.net, etc.). For security reasons, we no longer accept these email addresses. If you are concerned about other members knowing your real email address, you CAN choose the option "hide email" from public display in "My Profile."

Please register using the email address given to you by your ISP. For example, if you are using Earthlink, you must use your Earthlink email address. If you are using AOL, you must use an AOL address, if you're using AT&T Broadband or Comcast, you must use the address given by them.

• Using an email address at a personal or business domain name is acceptable, but has a higher chance of being declined for registration. Using an email address from a free service will result in your registration being declined.
   
• All registrations are tracked by IP. Your email address and IP that you registered with will be examined and compared. If things don't add up (for example, an email address in Brazil but an IP out of California), your registration will be declined.
   
• The email address you give us will only be used to email your password and the approve/decline notice for your registration. It is your choice as to whether or not you wish others to see your email address.
   
• The registration and approval emails come from admin@gringos.com. If you are using anti-spam software, you should add this address to your White List to ensure our email is received. Services like Earthlink SpamBlocker that require senders to click a link in order to properly send the emails, will not work with our automated registration emails.

Anti-Spam Website. (Spam is defined as any and all of the following: advertisements for services or websites, excessive useless fluff messages, flooding, and the like). If you post a spam message to the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board, you will be banned effective immediately, a formal complaint in writing sent via United States certified mail to your ISP concerning abuse of their services, charges filed against you at your local Police Department and/or State Law Enforcement Agency, and/or possible legal action may occur against you.

Please take note of the following statements: We actively track and record your IP address when you browse the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board. This information is recorded through the web server's logging facilities, and through the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board's user tracking feature ("Recent Visitors"). While you may choose to be invisible on the list of currently browsing users, your IP and actions are still recorded. The recorded IP addresses are only visible to the bulletin board administration, not the general public. In the event that you decide to abuse your posting rights, we reserve the right to use your IP address in any of the following ways: Use a lookup to determine your ISP, then inform them of your actions in writing and/or verbally, prevent posting to this bulletin board based on the IP address, prevent viewing of this bulletin board based on the IP address and prevent anyone from your ISP from viewing this bulletin board. By continuing with the registration process (or using the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board if you are reviewing these rules after registration)you agree to permit us to record your IP address.

Please take note of the following information: In order to register on the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board, you must enter a valid, working email address provided by the internet service provider that you are using right now. That means that, if you are using, say, Earthlink, you must sign up using an Earthlink email address. You may use a personal domain name to register as long as it is clear that you are the owner of the domain when it is visited. This email address may NOT originate from a freemail service, such as Hotmail, Rocketmail, Yahoo, Excite, Bigfoot, and Everyone.net. Each registration request is manually reviewed for approval. If you have not followed the directions given above, then you will not be approved. If you whine to the administration about being declined because you did not follow the directions, then you will get a very angry response. The email address you provide will only be used to email you your password and contact you should an emergency arise, or to send information about this bulletin board. You may optionally choose to hide your email address from public viewing, and may opt out of any bulletin board emailings. If, for some reason, you do NOT have an email address provided by your internet service provider (or college, or personal domain name), please email the administration of the GRINGOTALK™ Bulletin Board and explain the situation. The administrators may choose to set up a special forwarding address for your use in registering.

U.S. Secret Service: (Financial Crimes Division, plans, reviews, and coordinates criminal investigations involving: computer fraud, computer scams, false impersonation and fraudulent identification within the U.S. and other nations). If you violate any part of this agreement that involves the Financial Crimes Division of the U.S. Secret Service, a formal complaint will be sent in writing via United States certified mail and/or charges filed against you with said federal agency.

FBI: (Operation Websnare, plans, reviews and coordinates criminal investigations involving: criminal spam, spoofing and/or hijacked accounts, cyber-extortion, violations of intellectual property rights (IPR), computer intrusions (hacking) and identity theft). If you violate any part of this agreement that involves Operation Websnare of the FBI, a formal complaint will be sent in writing via United States certified mail and/or charges filed against you with said federal agency.

FTC: (Federal Trade Commission: The FTC investigates internet, telemarketing, identity theft and other fraud-related scams and complaints that leads to law enforcement action). Your complaint helps us investigate fraud and can lead to immediate law enforcement action. Our online database is accessed by hundreds of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies worldwide. If you violate any part of this agreement that involves FTC’s regulations, a formal complaint will be sent in writing via United States certified mail and/or charges filed against you with said federal agency.

IFCC: (Internet Fraud Complaint Center: IFCC's mission is to address fraud committed over the Internet. For victims of Internet fraud, IFCC provides a convenient and easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of a suspected criminal or civil violation. For law enforcement and regulatory agencies at all levels, IFCC offers a central repository for complaints related to Internet fraud, works to quantify fraud patterns, and provides timely statistical data of current fraud trends). If you violate any part of this agreement that involves IFCC's regulations and alerts, a formal complaint will be sent in writing via United States certified mail and/or charges filed against you with said federal agency.

NW3C: (National White Collar Crime Center: The mission of NW3C is to provide a nationwide support system for agencies involved in the prevention, investigation, and prosecution of economic and high-tech crimes and to support and partner with other appropriate entities in addressing homeland security initiatives, as they relate to economic and high-tech crimes). If you violate any part of this agreement that involves NW3C's regulations, a formal complaint will be sent in writing via United States certified mail and/or charges filed against you with said federal agency.
